The project was completed on a pitched roof with a PVC roofing membrane and EPS thermal insulation installed on trapezoidal metal sheeting. Due to the roof pitch, it was not possible to use a conventional ballasted mounting system. The SOLATECH DIM PVC anchoring system, suitable for various types of substrates, was selected as the most appropriate solution. The DIM PVC XL version was used for this project, allowing secure mechanical anchoring into the upper crest of the trapezoidal metal sheet. A total of 900 DIM PVC XL units were used for the installation. The system was anchored through 250 mm of thermal insulation using 235 mm telescopic fasteners and 4.8 × 80 mm screws. SOLATECH CLEAN for PVC was also supplied to prepare the surface and ensure optimal conditions for reliable anchoring. All materials were delivered as part of a complete package, allowing the installation to begin on the first day without delays caused by missing components. The customer also used SOLATECH technical support:
- A structural calculation was prepared to determine the required number of SOLATECH DIM PVC XL anchoring points.
- A qualified contractor was recommended for the installation of the DIM PVC XL elements.
- A high-voltage spark test was carried out in two stages – before installation to identify any defects in the roofing membrane and after the installation of DIM PVC XL to confirm correct installation and ensure there was no risk of water penetrating the roof assembly.
